Kander Certifies Green Party for November Ballot in Missouri

The Green Party will be on the November ballot here in Missouri. Secretary of State Jason Kander has certified over 23,000 signatures to get the party on the ballot.

JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI — Secretary of State Jason Kander today announced the Green Party petition had over 23,000 signatures verified by local election authorities. State law allows a new political party to be placed on the ballot statewide if it obtains at least 10,000 valid signatures from registered Missouri voters.

The Green Party will have 14 candidates on the ballot for the November 8 general election:

  • President, Jill Stein
  • Vice President, Ajamu Baraka
  • U.S. Senate, Johnathan McFarland
  • Governor, Don Fitz
  • Lieutenant Governor, Jennifer Leach
  • Secretary of State, Julia Carlson
  • Treasurer, Carol Hexem
  • U.S. House of Representatives District 2, David Justus Arnold
  • U.S. House of Representatives District 6, Mike Diel
  • Missouri Senate District 3, Edward R. Weissler
  • Missouri House of Representatives District 19, Valorie Engholm
  • Missouri House of Representatives District 80, Teressa Rose Ezell
  • Missouri House of Representatives District 105, Tim Hammack
  • Missouri House of Representatives District 109, Ellen J Skiljan
  • Missouri House of Representatives District 140, Robert Debbaut
