In September, a search warrant was obtained for Hileman’s residence after receiving a tip that he had uploaded child pornography on the internet. A detective with the Lebanon Police Department, who is a member of the Lake Area Cyber Crimes Task Force, and an agent with Homeland Security Investigations executed the search warrant at Hileman’s residence. Several electronics and computer equipment used to commit the crimes were located and seized, police said in a statement. Court documents indicated they consisted of 20 images and one videotape.

Hileman was taken to the Lebanon Police Department where further details were provided about the crimes committed. Hileman was then transported to Laclede County Jail where he was held.

The Lake Area Cyber Crimes Task Force and the Lebanon Police Department say they want to encourage internet users to promptly report to their local law enforcement agency anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate, or sexualized communications with children.
