Mr. Jordan tells his daughter that he is very disappointed in her, and that she has disrespected every adult in her life.
Her language is crude and rude. She let her father know, when he is old and unable to take care of himself, she will not be around to help him. What kind of a 15 year kid thinks of something like that? After his video went up on YouTube, the story is, the local police stopped by the Jordan house and they thanked him. Child Protective Services showed up too:
Mr Jordan said: ‘If I had it to do again… let’s see… I’d do it almost the same’.
He said that those who disagree with his parenting methods have called police and child protective services to his Albermarle home.
But Mr Jordan said he’s sorry to disappoint anyone who was hoping he would wind up arrested in the matter.
‘The police by the way said “Kudos, Sir” and most of them made their kids watch it. I actually had a “thank you” from an entire detectives squad.’
He added: ‘And another police officer is using it in a positive manner in his presentation for the school system. How’s about those apples? Didn’t expect THAT when you called the cops did you?’ Source: Daily Mail
The Daily Mail article says CBS called to offer him a television show. He said no thanks. Said that Hannah is doing fine now, but initially said it was the most horrible day in her life.
To those criticizing his parenting skills:
‘If I did something embarrassing to my parents in public (such as a grocery store) I got my tail tore up right there in front of God and everyone, right there in the store,’ he said. ‘I put the reprisal in exactly the same medium she did, in the exact same manner.’
He added that the stunt was intended to show her that she cannot take possessions and her parents money for granted, claiming the video had been ‘very effective’.
It had reminded her that whatever she writes on Facebook or other social networking sites will be there to haunt her in years to come, he added.
So when you read that Mr. Jordan was “snooping” in his daughter’s computer – he didn’t (although he’s the Dad and has the right). The real story has something to do with the family dog. Click the Daily Mail link above to read it.
