BREAKING: Gary Sweet, 58, of Rolla has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action. Judge Kaltenbronn authorized an arrest warrant Wednesday night and the subject is in custody. The identities of the victims has not been released.

LAKE OZARK, Missouri- Police in Lake Ozark confirm there was a shooting late last night, or in the early morning hours Wednesday at the Riverview RV Park. Although not officially confirmed, some residents say a man and woman were shot and are now deceased.

On November 8th, Lake Ozark police officers were dispatched to a campground on Wood River Road in Lake Ozark in response to a 911 call pertaining to a reported shooting. The Mid-Missouri Major Crime Unit was activated and also reported to scene, Miller County authorities said in a statement.

There is a large law enforcement presence with multiple agencies as the incident is being investigated. Officials say there is no threat to the public.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Miller County Sheriff’s Office and Lake Ozark Police are all on scene.
